Science Update The First Supernova

Astronomers are always a bit of a treat this week 21 Mya exploded a Supernova (i.e. 21 million light years) in the pinwheel Galaxy Watch. Is pretty close to a supernova (which are usually about a billion light years), and can even with a simple pair of binoculars. But what was the first Supernova? OK, that was a trick question. We do not know what was the first star to explode. But we can take a look at Supernova, SN 185 registered before. Read more
